YOUR SAFETY AT ALL EVENTS IS OUR PRIORITY!
The safety and well-being of members and others is the main priority at Windermere Model Waterplane Flyers events and club meetings.
Our target is ZERO accidents and no near misses!
The Splash-In organisers set up the pits area, transmitter control, organise car parking, produce advisory and warning signs, erect barriers and cordoned off areas as necessary, all to make every event as safe as possible for our members and visitors taking part and for any public area.
When you arrive, please contact Transmitter Control. Printed information about the event and local rules will be available at the Transmitter Control. So please ensure that you know the local flying site regulations before you fly.
We recommend that all Pilots have achieved their BMFA ‘A’ certificate or SAA ‘Bronze’ but consideration will be given to all who want to fly. If you have not flown off water before please speak to the Flight Line Marshall who will advise accordingly and an experienced waterplane Pilot will be available to help you.
All Models and equipment must be passed by an official scrutineer before it is used.
Model flying must not only be safe - it must be seen to be safe.
Undisciplined flying cannot be accepted.
Windermere Model Waterplane Flyers will always promote safe, enjoyable flying with an abundance of camaraderie!
